Kiss My Sass

For some reason, I doubted myself writing this post. Periods? Fine. Depression and Anxiety? All in a day's work. Talking about shaving your vagina and taking care of it? Oh, that was a line for me. Still, here we are and I'm saying it - I shave my vagina; usually though, I do it badly and end up with ingrown hairs and it's genuinely a not very pleasant but serious enough issue for me. So, when Sass asked me if I'd like to try out some of their range, I jumped at the chance and opted for the Soothe and Smooth Shave Gel.

When I opened the (perfectly wrapped) present off Sass, I was pleased to see they'd included little samples of their Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate and also Intimate Purifying Cleanser which gave me the chance to try a little more out of their range, something I usually probably wouldn't opt to buy for myself and so I unwrapped them, showed Katy (the products) and we set to work giving them a test.  I was intrigued by the gel as it doesn't foam up - this makes it not great for use on legs and underarms (I gave it a go, just to check) as you need to much and it can clog up your razor blades, but it's perfect on your pubic hair - it's thick enough to stop you nicking yourself but it doesn't dissolve like foam and so gives you those precious extra few minutes to shave (we all know it takes longer than any other part of your body, nobody wants a sliced labia).

So far, so good. I am dubious about the cleanser though - it's not that I don't think that it's good because it's soothing and works just fine, I'm just not sure how I feel about cleansers and sensitive PH levels on the whole. If it's your bag, though, this is definitely kinder, less scented and a lot more effective than the feminine intimate wash that seems to be doing the round right now, in my opinion anyway. As for the serum - this stuff is genius. It's soothing, reduces ingrown hairs (and quite noticeably so) and also seems to soften any remaining hair so you feel super smooth in all the right ways.

All in all - it's a good range, but it's worth noting a few things. I think that the Perfect Skin Concentrate is worth every bit of the £12.00 that it costs, and I think that it's probably the most versatile of the three products that I tested from the range as it could be used in conjunction with whatever shaving foam that you usually use - having said that, it is a fab product in it's own right, but it's also a solid tenner on top of whatever shaving foam etc. that you're using on your legs and underarms, so that's worth noting. As for the cleanser, it's definitely not my thing, but it's a pretty good cleanser and it's definitely worth £7 if you're going to buy a cleanser, as I think it's one of the top cleansers on the market.

All in all, I'd recommend Sass - and you can pick it up in Boots so nip in and take a look! Have you used any of their products?
