Last month I reviewed the NerdBlock and I really enjoyed the contents, but to be honest, I didn't realise that I would be getting a second box until it arrived with a courier one morning. I have to say though, it was a nice surprise and it definitely helps to break up the beauty posts with something that I love equally as much. As I didn't know that I was getting this one, it was a complete surprise because I hadn't even thought to ruin it for myself by looking up the content (which I do on the reg usually!). So, without further ado, here are the goodies inside my September NerdBlock.
Let's start with the t-shirt because this was the one thing this month that I felt wasn't quite as good as last months - I just feel like this is one that I definitely wouldn't wear; but it's a black t-shirt with Snape across the front with Alan Rickman's face across the word. It's soft and comfortable, and it's not like I'll never wear it - it's just not as good as last month's Labyrinth t-shirt in my opinion. I believe that for the Ghostbusters item you could opt for a phone case, but as I just wasn't aware that I was getting the box, I got the replacement item which actually works better for me as it's a Ghostbusters screen cleaning cloth; and got know my laptop screen and glasses need one of those. I haven't given this a go yet, but when I need to clean something I know who I'm going to call (see what I did there?)
Next up is an item I won't be using for it's purpose, but I do have an idea for and that's the Attack On Titan Multi Functional Scarf. Although I won't be folding this in half and wearing it across my face like I'm about to rob a bank; this does look like a face stripped of skin and so it will be really handy for doing halloween makeup and seeing where everything should go on the face (in terms of muscle and bone, I know where my eyes and nose are, obviously). Then, and perhaps my favourite thing of the whole box, there was a Joker figure from Batman The Animated Series. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this quite yet, but I'm all about a good villain and so I've kept it in the box until I can find a respectable place to rehome a joker.
There are a four pack of Star Wars buttons next, and to be honest I'm not massively about them because I just don't really know what I'm going to do with them but they're nice all the same. Finally is the one item that went immediately on my snapchat and eventually found a forever home with the lovely Katy - but had me cracking up and sending her screenshots first. This is definitely a highlight of the box, in my opinion - and it was worth getting the box for that alone.
I didn't like this month's box as much as last month's, but it's all personal preference really. There are four exclusives in this box though which is pretty good - and on the whole, I really do enjoy NerdBlock. If you want to get your own, the box is pretty pricy at $19.99 + shipping, but I have to say that if you're a big gaming, film or comic book fan, it really is a decent box.
