Let's not even keep up with the suspense, because you all know that Katy and I got engaged on Saturday 3rd December 2016. It's been a long journey for the two of us, and a weird one, but we're finally here - there's a ring on my finger, we have a bed and a room that belongs to both of us and we're here, and engaged, and it's been so, so worth it. I feel as though you've all followed us from day one: from the body shop event where we met, through to when we were dating, through to our breaking up, getting back together, and now our engagement.
Our relationship was founded by, and cemented by, the internet - and so it only seems right and fair that I share this special moment with you. I've chosen, for the most part, to not put a picture of the ring up on my twitter - in order to keep some parts of the engagement to ourselves, but you've all seen the pictures of the moment that I said yes, we had hundreds of likes, favourites and congratulations. If we invite all of you to the wedding, we're looking at a solid thirty years worth of saving. Having said that - you've followed the journey until now and I have no doubt that you'll follow it right the way through to the (hopefully) happy ending.
So I've been gone from positive December for a few days, but I'm sure that you'll agree that it was for a good enough reason, and a positive enough reason. I'm so happy to be engaged, and there's some kinks that need to be ironed out in the long run, but for now - we have everything we want and can afford to do right now under control. We have amazing friends, a future to look forward to, and the chance to get married and move out in the next few years. It's all looking good.
So positive December is back properly tomorrow, but for now here's today's dose of positivity.
